TimMee AIR FORCE Plastic Army Men - Green vs Tan 26pc Toy Soldier Figures - Made in USA
An American Classic is back in action. This bag of 26 Tim Mee PLASTIC ARMY MEN is proudly manufactured in the United States, and includes 13 tan and 13 olive green US Air Force Troops for maximum play value. There's 10 different figures and all your old favorites are here, including pilot, pilot in pressure suit, mechanic, munitions loader, navigator, fuel specialist, firefighter, signal officer, bugler, and officer with charts. Figures stand up to 2.6 inches and are approximately 1:30 scale. Made from slightly flexible LDPE plastic with medium detail and some flashing due to the age of the mold.
Originally produced by PROCESSED PLASTIC (Tim Mee's parent company) around 1964, these figures were slightly smaller copies of earlier Tim Mee Air Force figures from the 1950's. These Cold War Era figures show the evolution of plastic army men from cleverly balanced and free standing, to the bases that almost all plastic army figures use today. The free standing figures stand up surprising well, with the exception of the fuel specialist that usually needs to propped against another figure or accessory to do his job upright. This is the first time these figures have been produced in decades, and the very first time they have been offered in Olive Green and Desert Tan. The manufacturer has even restored the classic gauntlet and lightning bolt logo from vintage packaging on the header card.
These are real plastic heroes, meant to be set up, knocked down, picked up and played with for years to come. LITTLE GREEN ARMY MEN have even been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. Packed in plastic bag with header card and recommended for ages 5 and up.
