From the Classic Army Men Collector Series, BMC Toys brings back more classic toys from yesteryear. This 26 piece Set of includes 4 Palm Trees and 4 Jungle Ferns and 18 wacky aliens. The aliens are made from Lime-Green and pink color flexible LDPE plastic and stand up to 1.5 inches tall and have some flashing. Most will stand on their own but in general they are tippy and some have hollow backs. Leaves are made from fairly flexible purple color LDPE plastic and trunks and bases are slightly stiff tan color HDPE plastic. Tallest tree measures 5 inches tall. The alien figures were named Astro-Nits and first produced in the late 1960s by R&L Company of Australia. They were offered as cereal premiums and Cracker Jacks prizes. The palm trees and ferns were first offered in the 1950s by Louis Marx and Co. and were included in a number of their legendary Playsets spanning many years including prehistoric, military, and Zorro Playsets, but have never been offered in purple. This new production is manufactured using the original plastic injection tools in a combo of bright colors that take them out of this world. This is a Set of real American Made plastic toys, meant to be set up, knocked over, picked up, and played with for many years to come. Packed in clear bag bag with insert card and recommended for ages 5 and up.
