'The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere' 21 piece set includes Paul Revere riding Brown Beauty, Samuel Adams, James Otis, 3 Colonial Civilians, 2 lanterns, and a variety of furniture and accessories. Figures stand up to 2.2 inches tall and are made from flexible LDPE Powder Blue color plastic with very little flashing and lots of detail. The riding horse is made from Polypropylene Rust-Brown color plastic with just a little flashing Accessories are made from slightly stiff Coal Black color HDPE plastic. Pieces include chair. rocker, 3 stools, 2 benches, table, 2 lanterns, spinning wheel, gun stack, cast iron kettle, and horse hitching post. An all new original story about the 'real' history of this famous ride vs. the legend that was inspired by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1861 poem, 'Paul Revere's Ride' is included on the back of the package insert. This set includes what are often referred to as 'Colonial Characters' and 'Revolutionary War Accessory Group' They were first offered in the 1950s by LOUIS MARX AND COMPANY and were included in a number of their legendary playsets spanning many years including several Revolutionary War theme sets.
